Showcasing our friends at #Makegood

Hi there,

As you read this, we’re in smack bang in the middle of putting our final touches on our exhibition plinth for the Makegood Festival, taking place on 29th May- 1st June at the Old Selfridges Hotel.

With over 200 of the UK’s most innovative startups and brought to you by our friends at the School for Creative Startups, this event promises to be one that should not be missed.

Speakers include The Gadget Show’s Jason Bradbury, Mark Dolan, Cath Kidston, as well as senior representatives from Innocent, Rock Corps, Indiegogo and many others. We can’t wait!

However, in a change to our regular blogging, we’d thought we would shine a light on some of our fellow School for Startup alumni who will join us in launching and/or displaying their business in front of an expected audience running up into the thousands.

Here they are:

Shade 7

Global, multilingual publishers of premium pop-up Qur’anic educational story books and digital apps that help children learn about Islam in a fun way.

Discover a world of secret hidden fun with PlayMaker, create or play games based on location or subject #tags and make everything a game. PlayMaker is an innovative new platform enabling users to tag questions to places or subjects using maps, videos, pictures, sound files and more, creating games from the everyday things around them.

Tobytogs is a family of cute animal characters that are hand screen-printed onto bright, well-made clothes for babies and young children.
Catherine first designed Toby elephant for a thank you card when her son was born and she received so many generous presents. Janet giraffe, Peter lion, Jasper penguin and other friends followed when baby Toby turned one and needed a fun party invite. The animals were the start of the Tobytogs brand! Since then Tobytogs has grown into a family of 11 characters, including Lauren ladybird named after Catherine’s three year old daughter. The clothing and mini-bags make the perfect, original present for a baby or young child.
